I am unable to view the FreeTextBox Help .chm file. When I open it I simply get the following in the content pane.

	Action canceled
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.
Please try the following: Click the Refresh button, or try again later. If you have visited this page previously and you want to view what has been stored on your computer, click File, and then click Work Offline. For information about offline browsing with Internet Explorer, click the Help menu, and then click Contents and Index. Internet Explorer

I have tried opening the .chm file on a number of systems all with the same result. I was previously able to view the CHM file but the last time I looked at it was probably about a year ago. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I noticed this also and wondered if it was the result of a Microsoft patch.  When I opened the help file it was on a shared drive (mapped to a drive letter).  When I copied the help file to my local drive it worked fine. 

I was also using this from a shared network drive. But copying it to my local computer did not make any difference and still got the same result. However, right-clicking the file, selecting properties I notice an "unblock" button at the bottom of the properties window. Once unblocked I am able to view the .CHM file with no problems on my local drive but unblocking makes no difference when viewing it from the shared drive. I can deal with viewing it from my local drive.

Hopefully this post will help those with similar issues in the future. Thanks for your input.

That worked for me too.

Select properties by righ clicking on the .CHM file and click UNBLOCK.

Problem is getting solved by unblocking in properties of the the .chm. Thank You
